D&S Uganda has recently completed an important humanitarian project funded by the Danish Refugee Council to provide six solar powered water supplies for refugees around Arua in North West Uganda. Over 1million refugees have moved to Uganda, and the government, working with UNHCR, has provided infrastructure to support them.

The installations include state-of-the art Grundfos/Lorentz pumps and controllers and in some installations tanks on towers as well as extensive distribution pipelines. The project was managed by Commercial Director Simon Batte and Technical Manager Philip Walusimbi and was exceptionally organised being finished in a record time of three months.
