Davis & Shirtliff Zambia recently completed two solar projects for House of Moses and house of Betty which are homes to over 70 orphans in Lusaka. The projects which included the supply an installation of panels, hybrid inverters and backup systems was funded by the Christian alliance for children in Zambia.
The system will provide continuous power supply to the homes and will also minimize running costs for the home. Pictured is the system after installation.
Davis & Shirtliff Zambia under MD Jonathan Mainga recently supplied and installed a 8KVA Back-up system at Namuyanga Mission Teachers College in Kalomo, South Zambia. The project combined both 5KVA & 3KVA Opti Efecto Hybrid inverters with a large bank of batteries.
The back-up system is designed to power all appliances in the new office block at the college. We had back-up all the internal lighting and outdoor security lights complete with all the sockets in the building.

Davis & Shirtliff Zambia recently took the initiative of holding such a training session for long established partner Handyman Ltd at the Handyman Great East store.

Davis & Shirtliff Tanzania recently supported Dar Swim Club through organizing swimming competitions at Hopac Swimming Pool and Football Grounds to promote the awareness of swimming as a sport. The event was the first ever annual junior invitational swimming gala to be hosted by the Dar Swim Club and was graced by Hon. Nape Nnauye, Tanzania Minister
of Information, Culture, Artists and Sports as the guest of Honor who congratulated organisers and participants encouraging them to continue to nurture and develop sporting talents amongst the youth in a bid to progress the sport sector of the country. Davis and Shirtliff Tanzania recently signed a contract with Unilever Tea Tanzania (UTT) to supply and install 45 units of Aquasentry Low Pressure Ultra Filtration System at Mufindi in Iringa District. Each unit will provide over 1,200 litres of clean water per hour to the district which hosts over 40 villages with a minimum population of 100 respectively.

Davis & Shirtliff Tanzania MD Benjamin Munyao and D&S Mwanza Branch Manager Ellison Malyi recently took the initiative of holding a large training session for partners at the New Mwanza Hotel. The well attended training with over 80 participants was aimed at improving awareness and knowledge in the various technologies in the power, solar and water treatment solutions.

Davis & Shirtliff Tanzania was awarded a 55’ LED TV by Standard Chartered Bank Tanzania for being one of its longest serving customers. In Tanzania, the Bank has been in existence since 1917 when it first opened its doors and later nationalized in 1967, but re-opened on 15th December, 1992. D&S Tanzania have been loyal customers since it was established in 1998.
