#ImprovingLives

Giving back to local communities has been a commitment of Davis & Shirtliff since its founding in 1946...

Proper hand hygiene is one of the simplest and least expensive ways to prevent and control the spread of germs. In times of disease outbreaks such as now, when the world is battling with COVID-19, clean hands can save lives. As simple as that sounds, washing hands with soap and water might not be possible, particularly in resource-limited settings.

In response to the devastation that the outbreak was projected to cause in the region, Davis and Shirtliff quickly designed and manufactured pedal-operated hand washing stations that were both affordable, safe and easy to use for the mass market. In addition to making these available for purchase, Davis and Shirtliff has since donated 344 hand washing stations, in the period between April – October 2020. These stations have positively impacted over 108,000 beneficiaries, in a valiant effort to keep the virus away.

Below are just a few photos of the donations.
