David Bolo Speech

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a growing concern for underserved communities, especially people living in densely populated informal settlements in many cities in Africa.

These populations have been identified as high risk areas as residents rely on intermittent water supply from water vendors. Water and sanitation MSMEs must continue operating and expanding their reach to safeguard access to essential services for millions of Kenyans, especially those in the high risk populations.

D&S CSR, Sidian Bank and Aqua for All have come together to provide support in bridging the service and financial gaps in the water and sanitation sector. This partnership will provide the Water Service Providers with access to affordable and flexible financing from Sidian Bank to purchase water infrastructure from Davis and Shirtliff at a subsidized rate. The partnership was launched on the 4th of August, at the Four Points by Sheraton in Hurlighum, Nairobi. The launch was attended by Mr. David Bolo, General Manager, Industrial area, Sidian Bank Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Timothy Gitonga and Aqua for All’s Managing Director, Mrs. Marlies Batterink.
